2017 Festival Badge Sales open August 8

Badges on sale at artsintheheart.com and at State Bank locations August 8. Festival lineups, Fine Arts and Crafts Market artisans announced soon!

The 37th Annual Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, presented by the Greater Augusta Arts Council and the City of Augusta, announces advanced badge sales for festival admission. Badges will be available online  and at State Bank & Trust locations starting August 8. Badges are good for the entire weekend of the festival and cost $7 in advance, $12 at the gate.

Several new features will be making an appearance at the festival this year, including:

  • The first-ever “Author’s Alley” presented by the Book Tavern, located in the lobby of the JB White’s Building (between the Book Tavern and New Moon).
  • Dance Africa Foundation, a traditional music and dance group based in Ghana, will be giving performances and informative lectures throughout the weekend.
  • Latin-fusion dance party on the Common by Paco Serrano in advance of the Opening Ceremonies on Friday evening 5:30-6pm.
  • New food booths in the Global Village – Korea, South Sudan, Vietnam and Cambodia – 24 countries in total!

Festivities will take place at the Augusta Common (836 Reynolds Street) and Broad Street from 7th to 10th . The Festival will comprise the Global Food Village with authentic international foods from 25 countries; a Fine Arts and Crafts Market with over 130 juried fine arts and crafts booths; an interactive Family Area; a Young Artists Market where school-aged artists sell their work; five stages stacked with live local and regional talent, and a craft beer garden.
