Thank you for applying to perform at the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival. We have 5 stages , each one with very specific requirements. Please read the descriptions before you apply.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL May 30th OR UNTIL ALL STAGES ARE FULL. PLEASE APPLY EARLY FOR FIRST CONSIDERATION.
This year we are bringing back the Full Festival with 5 stages. The Global Stage on the Common, The family Stage on the 600 Block, the Jazz Stage on Broad and 8th the Community Stage on 9th and Broad, and the Soul Suite, indoors at 930 Broad Street next to the JB Whites Building.
Global Stage: During the day, the Global Stage highlights international performances. During the day it accommodates large groups and dance performances. On Saturday and Sunday nights we feature bands, performances, and theatrical shows with a local or regional draw. We are not taking applications for Friday night as we will be hosting the Singer-Songwriter Competition “Press Play” Finals. The Global Stage will be managed by Wayne Hoey. Stage is perfect for dance.
Family Stage: The Family Stage is for any performance that appeals to children and families. It is covered and has a floor that can accommodate dancers. This is not a band stage, please consider the Global, Jazz or Community Stage for Band performances.
Soul Suite Stage: The Soul Suite Stage is located indoors ensuring the show will go on! This stage is used to present performances such as poetry, storytelling, acoustic music, Soul, spoken word, improv, and other low-tech performances. This stage is air-conditioned. Stage is not conducive for Dance
Jazz Stage: The Jazz Stage will be used to present Jazz, Blues, Gospel, R&B, and Roots Music performances by local and regional artists. The setup includes full back-line with professional tech and a covered stage and audience area. The Stage is managed by Karen Gordon and the Garden City Jazz team. The back-line list is in the application. Stage is not conducive for Dance
Community Stage: The Community Stage is perfect for any type of musical or dramatic performance. There will be a tent cover for the stage and audience ensuring the show will go on despite inclement weather. Stage is managed by Brian Allen. Stage is not conducive for Dance
The Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival of Augusta is a family event and the festival committee reserves the right to evaluate every performance to ensure family-friendly content.
