The mission of Columbia County Choral Society is to pursue choral excellence while encouraging convivial fellowship and artistic growth among its members, and to enhance music appreciation by providing high-quality performances to the community. Our group is eligible for all who love to sing, no matter what the age. This past season, we performed a diverse and eclectic repertoire including the Baroque music of Handel and Purcell as well as the “Requiem for the Living” by Dan Forrest, a 21st Century piece. On May 17, 2019, we presented our patriotic concert, “Celebrate America,” which included pieces like “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Blades of Grass and Pure White Stones.”
Columbia County Choral Society is committed to serving the community by ministering to under served groups like veterans, active military, and the elderly. We have performed at Brandon Wilde Community and at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Columbia County Choral Society is the premiere performing choral group in Columbia County.
