I started performing at a very early age in church by reciting bible verses and commercials and acting in plays. I continued acting and reciting poetry in middle and high school. In eighth grade, I wrote a rap for the 100th anniversary of the United States Constitution. I continue to write, but didn’t start performing at open mics until after graduating from the University of West Georgia in 1997. I continued writing and attending open mics in Georgia and South Carolina after winning and placing in several national pageants and graduating from University of South Carolina in 2013. I had my first feature in 2016 and landed several that year in addition to hosting my Live Loud Open Mic which started December 2016 and lasted until I moved away in April 2017.
