Hip-Poetry
“I don’t ride beats I am the rhythm” serves as the premise for the unorthodox musical style of The Clinician. Using a combination of rap and spoken word cadences to the tune of funky alternative and vintage hip hop beats a new genre of music was born. The Clinician coined this genre as Hip Poetry. The Clinician came out with his first album “The Diagnosis” to critical acclaim in 2011 as evidenced by Mandatory Business Magazine (developed by JT The Bigga Figga and funded by Snoop Dogg) who gave it raving reviews. They also gave The Clinician the front page of the magazine along with a two page spread. Since then The Clinician has released a collaborative EP with fellow friend and artist Asia Soulè entitled “The Grey Area” which landed him on Black College Today Magazine. Recently The Clinician released his second independent project entitled “The Quest for Hip Poetry” to raving reviews. This album is available on all streaming platforms (iTunes Spotify Google Play etc.). He has promoted the album by performing at various venues and festivals in Atlanta GA (Sweet Auburn Festival Apache Café and Urban Grind Coffeehouse) as well as the recent PMS Reloaded Rooftop performance concert in Bronx NY. To date The Clinician has recently performed on the main stage of the Urban Lounge in Las Vegas NV and has done several interviews with various radio personalities and performed at the USO as a tribute to US Military Veterans.
