FAMILY AREA

The Cultural Arts + Crafts Passport activities are more fun than ever this year!

Start your travels by grabbing a passport and set of “wings” from the Family Area Main tent. Here little arts travelers can draw their passport photo, then help color in our festival people!

More Fun Things to See and Do

Family’s have fun at the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival. Our Family Area includes street performances, Cultural Arts and Crafts activities, Tie Dye T-Shirts, Face Painting, Henna tattoos, and a fully booked Family Stage. Kids can explore the world with our Cultural Arts and Crafts Passport and win a prize at the end of their Family Area journey. Interact with your favorite superheroes or princesses, create fun, educational and engaging works of art, and much more at Arts in the Heart of Augusta’s Family Area.

Family stage

This year, please join in the Family Stage audience for a bit of mystery with local magician Mike Gillilland performing Magic with a Twist on Saturday, September 21 at 6:00 p.m., then on Sunday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m be enchanted by Daytime Regional Emmy Nominee Lee “That Puppet Guy” Bryan with a performance of The Zany Zoo in addition to numerous local dance, music and theatre performances with local schools, groups and individuals. Acts run all festival hours! There is something for everyone in the Family Area at Arts in the Heart of Augusta.

Arts in the Heart LOVES our youth artists and this market allows school-aged children and youth from Kindergarteners to High School Seniors to sell their artistic wares. It’s a fun area of the festival and a great way to support or emerging artists.
